MMS can supply Inflatable Rock Bolt Installation Systems. Inflatable rock bolts are unique in the field of rock reinforcement and ground engineering. High pressure water is used to expand the bolt in the hole, improving the reliability of the installation along with strong load securing properties.
MMS were asked to design a hydraulically powered “modular” installation unit due to reliability concerns with existing products. To meet our customers specification, the bolting module (pictured below) was created for durability, reliability, cost effectiveness, and simplicity of maintenance.
The MMS bolting system is currently in use at various locations around Australia and with organisations including BHP Billiton, Byrnecut, Downer group, Henry Walker Eltin (HWE), Rio Tinto, and Mincor. We supply, service, and install systems for underground mining, civil construction projects, tunneling, and the Adelaide desalination project. Full parts and service support is available, along with an installation and commissioning service at time of purchase.
